Questions about the platform, answered

Everything below is answered from what the platform already does — no forward-looking promises. Billing mechanics live on the pricing page, and anything not covered here can come to us directly.

Platform basics

What is IIH Money?

A connected digital platform for financial operations. It covers six areas — e-invoicing, invoice management, payments and collections, financial reporting, compliance, and integrations — and they are built to work independently or together. The practical consequence is that invoices, the money moving against them, the reporting on top and the compliance around them all run on the same data rather than in three disconnected tools.

What is an electronic invoice, and how is it different from a PDF?

A structured electronic invoice carries its contents as data that a tax authority’s system can read and validate. IIH Money issues and receives invoices in the formats each authority expects — UBL, PEPPOL, CII and country-specific schemas — and validates them before anything is submitted, so errors surface before the authority sees them.

A PDF is a page layout. A person can read it, but on its own it is not a filing an authority can process.

What happens to an invoice before it reaches a tax authority?

It is validated first, so problems are caught on our side rather than rejected on theirs. It is then handled under whichever model that market uses — real-time, near-real-time or periodic clearance and reporting — and archived afterwards, with legally compliant retention and retrieval on demand.

Do I have to replace the systems I already use?

No. Nothing needs to be replaced to get started: you connect the ERP, accounting suite, CRM and banking rails you already run. Accounting sync is two-way, so your ledger of record stays the ledger of record. See integrations and API below for what that covers.

The six services

What are the six services?

Each one covers a distinct part of the lifecycle:

E-Invoicing
Compliant electronic invoicing, everywhere you trade
Invoice Management
Every invoice in one searchable place
Payments & Collections
Get paid faster, chase less
Financial Reporting
Your financial data is only useful if you can see it
Compliance
Compliance requirements change constantly. We track them.
Integrations & API
IIH is built to work with your existing stack

The Knowledge Center breaks each service down into its individual capabilities.

Do I have to use all six?

No — they are built to work independently or together, so a single requirement is a legitimate place to start. Because they share the same underlying data, adding reporting or collections later does not mean re-entering anything you have already captured.

What is the difference between E-Invoicing and Invoice Management?

E-Invoicing is about the compliant document and the authority receiving it: format coverage, pre-submission validation, clearance and reporting, archiving.

Invoice Management is about your own workflow: one searchable, filterable view of every invoice, status dashboards for paid, pending and overdue, AR aging reports, and bulk issuing. Most operations want both, because they answer different questions — will this be accepted, versus where does this stand.

Isn’t compliance already covered by E-Invoicing?

E-Invoicing produces and submits the document. Compliance is the layer that keeps the rules behind it current: direct submission to the relevant tax authority portals, continuous monitoring so mandate changes are tracked and applied for you, an audit trail recording every action on every document, and role-based permissions with approval workflows.

Tiers and plans

Which tier fits a company of my size?

The For Businesses page is organised by headcount:

Small Business · 1–50 employees
All the financial tools a growing business needs — without the complexity.
Mid-Market · 50–500 employees
Centralize your financial operations and scale with confidence.
Enterprise · 500+ employees
Enterprise-grade financial infrastructure, built for complexity at scale.

Each tier has its own section on For Businesses, with the feature set that comes with it.

Which plan should I start on?

Individual is free to start and needs no credit card, so it is the low-commitment way to try the workflow. Business is the plan for operations that need unlimited invoices, e-invoice formats and API access, and it is quoted against invoice volume rather than sold at a list price. Enterprise is scoped with our team, for multi-entity operations that need custom integrations and an SLA.

Billing mechanics — how billing works, changing plans later, what counts as invoice volume, and cancellation — are answered directly on the pricing page rather than repeated here.

How do the company-size tiers relate to the pricing plans?

They describe two different things. Small Business, Mid-Market and Enterprise describe the shape of an operation and what that shape typically needs. Individual, Business and Enterprise are how the platform is bought.

If it is not obvious which plan matches your situation, tell us your volume and structure and we will point you at the right one.

I work on my own rather than in a company. Is this relevant to me?

Yes. For Individuals is built for freelancers, the self-employed, consultants and creatives: professional invoicing, automated payment reminders, income and expense tracking, client management and financial summaries. The Individual plan is free to start and requires no credit card.

Integrations and API

What does the platform connect to?

Integrations are grouped into 7 categories: Accounting, ERP, CRM, Payments, Banking, Tax and E-commerce. The connectors shown across the site are SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks and Stripe.

Underneath those: ERP connectors for SAP, Oracle, Dynamics and mid-market systems, two-way accounting sync with your ledger of record, and banking rails covering statement ingestion and payment initiation. If the system you depend on is not in that list, ask us about it.

Is there an API?

Yes — an open REST API with documented endpoints, webhooks and sandbox keys. API access is part of the Business plan feature set. Average setup time across integrations is under an hour. The Integrations & API service panel has the fuller breakdown.

Compliance coverage

What does the published compliance coverage actually mean?

The coverage published across the site is 100+ countries, 70+ e-invoice formats and 200+ tax authorities with direct integration. In practice that means the platform can produce an invoice in the schema a given authority expects, submit it to that authority, and keep doing both as the mandate changes.

It is coverage of formats, submissions and monitoring. It is not advice on your own tax position.

Who keeps track of mandate changes?

We do. Mandate changes, schema updates and new clearance models are handled upstream, across 100+ monitored jurisdictions, so your team is not reading tax bulletins to find out that a format moved.

Can I show an auditor what happened to a document?

Yes. Every action on every document is recorded in an immutable audit trail, and archiving holds documents under legally compliant retention with retrieval on demand.

Data protection

How is financial data protected?

End-to-end encryption protects financial data both in transit and at rest. Access is role-based, so people hold exactly the permissions they need and nothing more, and approval workflows sit in front of the actions that warrant a second pair of eyes.

Who on my team can see what?

That is decided by role. Role-based permissions and approval workflows are part of the compliance layer, and multi-user access with approval workflows is part of the Mid-Market feature set. If a security review on your side needs specific documentation, tell us what it asks for.

Getting started

How do I get started?

Individual is free to start and needs no credit card. Business and Enterprise are quoted rather than self-serve, so those begin with a conversation — contact us and describe your volume, markets and the systems you run.

Where do I go for more depth?

The Knowledge Center covers each of the six services and its capabilities. Services has the interactive panel for each one, including how it works step by step. The Help Center is the place for task-level questions.

If none of those answer it, send the question to us.
